At Turbo Dither, we believe that your creative work belongs to you. Our architecture is designed to maximize privacy by processing your media directly on your device, rather than uploading it to our servers.

Image & GIF Processing

When you load an image or GIF into Turbo Dither, all processing (dithering, adjustments, effects) happens locally within your web browser using Web Workers.

• No Uploads: Your images are never uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted through our servers.
• Local Computing: The mathematical operations required for dithering are performed by your device's CPU/GPU.
• Local Caching: To prevent data loss if you accidentally refresh the page, we temporarily cache your image data in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). This data remains strictly on your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data.

Audio Analysis & Reactivity

The Audio Reactive feature processes sound data purely for visual modulation within your browser session.

• Browser-Only Analysis: All audio analysis is performed using the Web Audio API entirely on your machine.
• No Audio Storage: We do not store, upload, or listen to your audio files. They are loaded into memory locally and discarded when the session ends or a new file is loaded.
• Local Recording: Video recordings containing your audio are generated locally on your device. We have no access to these files.

Camera & Video Recording

The "Live Camera" feature accesses your device's webcam solely for real-time processing within the browser application.

• Local Stream: The video stream from your camera is piped directly to a local canvas element for pixel manipulation.
• No Surveillance: We do not view, record, or transmit your camera feed. It never leaves your device.
• Recording: If you use the "Record" feature, the video file is generated locally and saved directly to your device's storage.

Analytics & Third-Party Services

To help us improve the application and understand how it is being used, we use Google Analytics, a third-party service.

• Anonymous Tracking: We track anonymous data such as page views, button clicks, and general session duration.
• No PII: We do not link this analytical data to any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or user accounts.
• Purpose: This data helps us identify popular features, fix bugs, and optimize performance across different devices and browsers.

By using Turbo Dither, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
